Shy at Empowering Healthcare Training Center has been gracious enough to offer us discounted seats in her training programs and with the help of the community, we've been able to offer them free to you.

Details

Phlebotomy and Medical Assistant certification programs are offered allowing students to be certified through the NHA.

 

Student is only responsible for their board exams. The online course is self-paced and can be completed in 4-12 weeks.

 

For the clinical component, you must be able to travel to  Philadelphia, PA, or Townson, MD. 

If selected, participants must pay a $100 commitment fee, which confirms their space in the program. All learning materials are included.

There is a $20 application fee required for all applications. Application will not be processed without this fee being paid. Application fees are nonrefundable.

Students will coordinate with instructor for in person skills training.

1. What is the Future Certified Program?
It’s a Levaris Foundation initiative that helps participants certifications, experience and skills at little to no cost.

2. Are the medical assistant and phlebotomy classes really free?
Yes! Tuition and books are covered through the program. Selected participants only pay a $100 non-refundable commitment fee to secure their seat.

3. Who can apply?
Women 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED. No prior healthcare experience is required. You must be following @LevarisFoundation on Instagram and be able to complete online training.

4. How long is the program?
The course is self-paced and can be completed in about 4-12 weeks based on speed. Up to three months are allotted.

5. Where is it offered?
The program is fully online. Those completing the clinical portion must be able to travel to Philadelphia, PA, or Baltimore, MD.

6. Do I need a uniform or to buy books?

No. All materials are provided online and included in the program.

7. What is the $100 fee for?

It’s a commitment fee that secures your seat and ensures that limited program spots are reserved for participants who are ready to begin.

8. Will participants be recorded or photographed?
Yes. All participants agree to light documentation (photos, videos, testimonials) that highlight their journey and help us show donors the real impact of their support. Modesty is always respected.

9. How will I know if I’m selected?
You’ll receive an official email from the Levaris Foundation with next steps, including how to submit your $100 fee and access your course materials.

10. When does the next class start?
Cohorts are filled on a rolling basis based on funding. Please DONATE below to help this initiative. Our next cohort will be Spring 2026.

11.How many people will be selected?

We are currently raising funds for this project and hope to help multiple applicants. 

12. Is there an exam after the course?

Yes, there is an NHA exam that is required to take to become certified. These exams can be taken from home via proctored exam on your computer. For Medical Assistant, the exam cost is $165. For Phlebotomist, the exam is $129. Levaris Foundation does not cover this fee.  

13. What if I am not selected?

If you are not selected, you are still able to apply for other opportunities. However, your application fee is non-refundable as it is utilized to process your application.
